Priestly Blessings

In a world where gods- or, in the case of T'Fae, a god- are real, their priests have some other powers that aren't available to average PC's. One of them is the ability to bless people. A priest can give a blessing to a person that, for one week, gives a bonus of +1 to a single skill or save. However, you need to find a priest who specializes in that Aspect of the Divine... The blessings of a priest of Nature isn't going to help you pick locks, for example, while a priest of Music isn't going to bless you to make swimming easier, lol.

The blessings aren't free, either. They require a tithing to the church; about half of the cost goes to cover the blessed oils and incense used to do the blessing, while the rest goes to the church. The tithe is still minimal, though: 1 gold per character level. The blessing takes about an hour to perform, and lasts seven days. You can only have one blessing active at a time.
